Never lose work
Versions, takes, rewinding a chat, and keeping or undoing each file a change touched. Your work is plain files in your own folders.
Robin keeps what you had. A change is a new version, not a replacement, and a chat can go back to any message you sent.
Versions
On a picture, a clip, a sound, a model or a sheet, every version is kept by what was asked for it. Before shows the one it came from. Keep and Not this one sort them, and Undo names the change it takes back (Undo "warmer sky").
Step through versions with ← and →. Hold \ to see the one before.
Takes
Make 3 takes is a choice on every make. The ones you do not choose stay as versions. Step through them, Vary or Remix only the part you pointed at, and compare two pictures side by side or a song's takes A/B.
Rewind a chat
Beside each message you sent, Rewind to here takes the chat back to before that message, with the project's files as they were then. Anything made since is set aside, not deleted, and your words come back in the chat box.
Keep or undo each change
Under an answer that changed files, Robin lists them ("Changed 3 files"). Press Review to go through them one by one:
- Keep (⌘↩) keeps the change and goes to the next file.
- Undo (⌘⌫) puts the file back as it was. A file the answer made is set aside, not deleted.
- Done (Esc).
When Robin rewrites a file, it keeps the last three versions beside it, in a hidden .robin-backups folder.
Where your work lives
Every project is a plain folder on your Mac that you can open in anything. New projects go in Documents › Robin Projects. Songs, films and the pads save as you go. Everything you make is exported without a watermark, and nothing you make trains a model.
