Robin

Refunds

Last updated 23 September 2026

If Robin is not what you wanted, ask within 14 days of buying it and you get your money back. You do not have to explain anything. “Changed my mind” is a complete answer.

Fourteen days, no questions asked

This applies to every edition — Robin, Robin Studio and Team — at any price you paid. Renewals bought to extend updates follow the same rule, counted from the day of the renewal.

How to ask

Email hello@getrobin.app with the email address you bought with, or the order number from your receipt. That is enough to find the purchase. Expect a reply within a couple of working days.

You can also go straight to the merchant, using the link on your receipt. Either route works, and neither is slower.

Who processes it

Robin will be sold through a merchant of record. Nothing is on sale yet. When sales open, the merchant of record that processes payments will be named here and on the checkout page. The merchant takes the payment, so they issue the refund, back to the card or account you paid with. We approve it; they perform it. How long the money takes to arrive is up to your bank, usually a few days. Tax and VAT collected are refunded along with the purchase.

What happens to the licence

When a refund is issued, the licence key is deactivated: it stops activating new Macs and stops validating on the ones it is on, and you should remove Robin from them. You get the money back; we get the licence back.

After 14 days

The 14-day window is the no-questions one. If something is genuinely broken after it, write anyway: a bug that makes the app unusable for you is worth a conversation, and the consumer law where you live may give you rights beyond this policy. Nothing here takes those away.

The one exception

A refund can be declined where the request is plainly abusive: buying and refunding repeatedly, refunding while carrying on with an activated licence, a chargeback raised without asking first, or a key that has been shared or resold against the licence. If you are reading this wondering whether it applies to you, it almost certainly does not.
