Nothing is on sale yet; these are the prices at launch. The trial will be the whole app, Studio included, for 14 days with no card. Your model provider bills you directly for what you use, with nothing added here, and a model on your own Mac costs nothing to run.
How the licence works
What is in Robin, and what is Studio?
Robin is the assistant: the palette over any app, the conversation, every provider and your own skills. Robin Studio adds the benches — pictures, sound, pads, video, 3D, sprites, playables, games — and the apps they drive: Blender, Unity, the simulators, your Chrome.
The 14-day trial is Studio, so you can see what the difference buys before you choose.
How many Macs?
Two per licence. Both can be yours, or one can be a work machine. Replacing a Mac? Release the seat on the old one and it is free again, as often as you need. What is not allowed is a third machine at the same time, or handing the key to somebody else.
What does “12 months of updates” mean when it runs out?
Every release in the 12 months is yours, features included. After that, the last version you received keeps working for as long as it runs on your Mac. Another year of updates is a discounted renewal — $24 for Robin, $79 for Studio at the list price — or carry on with what you have.
What is a founding seat?
The first 500 Robin Studio licences, at $149, carry updates for as long as Robin is made: no renewal, ever. After 500, Studio is $199 with the ordinary 12 months of updates. The cap is real, not a countdown that resets; when it is reached, the founding price comes off the page.
What will it cost to run?
Whatever your model provider charges for what you use, billed by them, at their prices, with no margin added and nothing routed through us. Point Robin at Ollama, LM Studio or llama.cpp on your own Mac and the running cost is nothing.
Who takes the money?
A merchant of record, who is the seller of record: they handle the payment, the sales tax or VAT that comes with it, the invoice, and any refund back to the card you paid with. See refunds.
