Press Start a drawing, or begin from a ready one: a logo with a mark, a name and a tagline; an app icon at every Apple size; or an icon set, twelve icons on one grid. The tools are the ones a drawing needs: Select, Direct select, Pen, Rectangle, Ellipse, Polygon, Star, Line, Text, Shape Builder, Live Paint and Hand.
A picture, traced into paths.
Trace a picture… turns a picture into paths, one layer per colour, ready to edit point by point. Ask in the chat and Robin draws with the same tools: it joins and cuts shapes, fills areas, traces, groups and exports.
Shapes, exactly.
Where shapes cross, you work on the pieces you see. Every result is exact, as the shapes were drawn.
- Union, Subtract, Intersect, Exclude on two shapes or more, from the inspector or the keys.
- Shape Builder drag across pieces to make them one; hold ⌥ to take them away.
- Live Paint click any area the shapes close, and a new shape fills it.
- Offset and Inset grow or shrink a shape; Outline the line turns a line into one.
Out in every size.
Export… writes SVG, PDF, or PNG at 1×, 2× and 3×; menu icons as a file each; or an app icon at every Apple size. Every icon’s colour sets one colour across a set, and Copy the SVG puts a shape on the clipboard.
